Startup Grind Kalamazoo will host Charles Fierke (Abraxas) in November

The next fireside interview in Kalamazoo will be on Monday, November 18th with Charles Fierke, a partner in  Abraxas (formerly, Team Support Services).  Charles joined the partnership team at Abraxas through connections made in his consulting activities, in which he assisted the company in converting the operations into a digital print and capture organization.  The company is located on Milham road in Portage and provides document and records management services to companies operating in highly regulated industries (e.g. legal industry, health industry, etc.)

Charles Fierke - RecentFounded in 2000, Abraxas was presented with an opportunity to grow significantly in 2002 when it was asked to assist a Michigan-based law firm representing one of the parties in a large intellectual property (IP) litigation case. The case required setting up several large data center review sites across Michigan.  In case's 18+ month discovery phase, over 122 million pages of documents were reviewed. As a result, Abraxas began focusing its attention more on litigation support and the growing eDiscovery markets and has scaled up its operations to be able to scan and code thousands boxes of material annually to service Fortune 100 & 500 companies.  Over the last 7 years, the company has developed systems that facilitate rerecords indexing and storage in a very specific way that addresses the needs of highly regulated industries, including life science, healthcare, insurance, and finance sectors.

Charles' role in the company has changed over the years from leading Operations, IT, Service Development, Account Management, and now most recently in the Business Development aspect of the business. He has had the unique opportunity to entrust the business with a great team, and while continuing to work with new clients, he looks for new solutions and directions for Abraxas.

Come meet Charles personally and learn how his experience can be applied to make your company more successful on Monday, November 18th at at Maestro (401 E. Michigan, Suite 202, Kalamazoo, MI 49007 -- above Food Dance).  Food will be available starting at 6pm, with the interview starting at 7pm.  Book your ticket and invite your friends to join our community.
