Startup Grind Sydney Hosts David Rohrsheim (UBER)

Wednesday, 24 July

Startup Grind Sydney welcomes David Rohrsheim, General Manager of Uber in Sydney, on Thursday 25th July at Fishburners.

Uber is a game-changing startup, providing quality, on-demand car requests (BMW, Mercedes, etc.) with the touch of a button. Uber is headquartered in San Francisco, and following the success in America and various international cities, Uber launched in Sydney in November last year and Melbourne in January.

David Rohrsheim is responsible for bringing the Uber experience to Australia, where he convinced Uber CEO Travis Kalanick about the potential of Uber succeeding in Sydney. David is General Manager of Uber operations in Sydney, and oversees everything from vehicle supply and demand, driver and customer relations, Uber partnerships, and growth. Previous to Uber, David worked at venture capital firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ) and graduated with a MBA from Stanford University and The University of Adelaide in Engineering.

Join us for the next Startup Grind Sydney edition where we hear from David about all things Uber, from growth and scaling to challenging the regulators.
