The World may be ending but Dubai is just getting started!

With 2012 coming to a close we wanted to take a quick look back at the recent events that have been taking place in Dubai. October saw the launch of Startup Grind in Dubai and we kicked off the chapter with a fantastic fireside chat with Dubizzle.com co-founders JC Butler and Sim Whatley.

With a fantastic turnout for a first event we started the following of what is set to be an exciting community of budding entrepreneurs and startups.

December 3rd saw the second event take place where we were lucky enough to be joined by newly crowned winner of The Entrepreneur hit TV show Loulou, CEO and founder of Nabbesh.com. Joining her on the sofa was Muna Al Gurg, local entrepreneur ambassador for Startups and guest judge also from the show.

Both events were held at our good friend, Leith Matthews Business Hub called MAKE. An ideal venue for our Startup Events MAKE was a fantastic choice. Serving a selection canapés and mock tails the audience enjoyed the evenings listening to the fireside chats and networking with fellow entrepreneurs. With such a great 2012 and first 2 chapters 2013 has a lot to live up to – but we are ready for it. Next years line up will be released in the first week of January where we will get to add to the already amazing list of guest speakers and pick the brains of the regions champions in the business world.
