Steve Caldwell is co-founder and CEO of the cross-platform wearable analytics and tools company, Strap. After being accepted to The Brandery in 2014, Strap relocated their headquarters to Cincinnati, OH, from Vicksburg, MS. Steve's first company was a development shop in Mississippi, crosstek. Steve sold crosstek earlier this year after growing it from $30k at the kitchen table to $1.3 million in revenue the next year. Steve has been building web, mobile and big data streaming applications in some way, shape or form for over 15 years, with a recent emphasis on wearables, big data, and sensor applications. He's worked on projects ranging from a volcano in the Mariana Islands, to smart sensors on roadways in Afghanistan to keep our troops safe, to building the Miss Mississippi pageant app. Through his years as both a CEO and CTO, Steve has learned all the lessons of growing a business, from hiring and firing to winning and losing customers.
