Startup Grind - Kalamazoo will host Jen Randall (Maestro) on May 29th

Jen Randall - Maestro

In two weeks (Thursday, May 29th), Startup Grind - Kalamazoo will host Jen Randall for a fireside chat.

The co-founder of Maestro (started in 2007), Jen works diligently to build up (and strengthen) the core values of the company in order to build a place where everyone enjoys accomplishing shared goals.  The company, based in Kalamazoo with approximately 35 employees, develops mobile applications for a number of companies, including Amway, Eaton, Facebook, GFS, Stryker, Twitter, Zimmer, and more.

As the president of the company, Jen draws on a diverse and successful background in teaching, sales, sales management, and sales training.  She is a former teacher and veteran mentor, coach and sales and training manager for Johnson and Johnson, where she maximized ROI with stellar sales figures.  Before leaving Johnson and Johnson in 2007 to help launch Maestro eLearning, Jen held Regional Trainer (Chicago) and District Manager (South Carolina) positions with the firm.

She has taken those skills and parlayed them with knowledge she has gained from various mentors and friends to motivate employees to create mobile and desktop applications that assists their fortune 1000 clients in boosting employee engagement while increasing productivity.  Words like driven, thoughtful, genuine, loving and empathic give you an idea of why she is a leader who helps others solve problems by embracing them in care.

The fire-side interview with Jen will conclude a month of Startup Grind interviews around the world supporting Google's #40forward initiative that highlights women running tech companies.  As Google mentions, although women are a minority in the "C" level suite of tech companies, women running tech companies use less external funding and still achieve a higher return on investment than their male counterparts on average.

We will have a mix of founders and entrepreneurial-minded leaders from a mix of industries, and with diverse backgrounds and knowledge, over the coming year at Startup Grind. Join our community today and tell us what you want to see, do, and learn!
