Journalists reporting for a major media outlet or private bloggers with a considerable audience are encouraged to come as press to cover the event. Apply for a Media Ticket by filling out this application​. We’ll get back to you within 48-hours.

All tickets are non-refundable, but they are transferable until Jan. 31 (T&C applicable).
Tickets can be transferred without additional charge before January 9. Any ticket transfer after January 9 will incur a service charge of $200. Last day to submit any transfer request is January 31. Full price ticket must be purchased after.

Absolutely! You can enter and exit the event at your leisure as long as you are wearing your Startup Grind wristband, which acts as your ticket after registration.
There will be hundreds of investors in the audience—many who’d love to meet you. You’ve just got to find them, so turn on your networking game! Approach it with the intention of making friends first (before pitching hard), we find it works better.
Yes. The app allows you to view the venue + conference schedule to create your own personalized agenda for the day, message fellow attendees, set up meetings on-site, and exchange contact info with our startups and partners. We will let you know when the app is ready closer to the conference, stay tuned!
We appreciate your enthusiasm, but we ask our guests to stick to business cards at most. Other solicitation will not be permitted on-site.

Whatever makes you comfortable! Typically attendees are casual to business-casual. Consider the types of people you’ll be meeting—it’s always positive to make a good first impression.
Unfortunately, we will not be sponsoring visas for attendees to the Startup Grind Global Conference.
We’ve partnered with Knock Knock City, where you can store your backpack, bag, shopping bag or luggage in one of their locations near our venue for a few hours or the day to enjoy the conference with free hands! They take online bookings only, book here to reserve space for your bags. Please note that there will be no coat check onsite.
By registering for the Global Conference, the attendee grants Startup Grind permission to use his/her likeness in a photograph and/or video in any and all publications and materials without payment or consideration made to them. The attendee realizes these photos and/or videos become the property of Startup Grind and will not be returned. The attendee authorizes Startup Grind to use, edit, copy, publish or exhibit any photo or video for any lawful purpose. The attendee waives the right to review any photo or video or to obtain royalties from the photo or video. Furthermore, the Global Conference is held in a public space, therefore we do not prohibit attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, or news organizations from photographing, video or audio-taping some Conference activities. Please contact if you do not wish to have your image or likeness made public.
San Francisco (SFO), Oakland (OAK) and San Jose (SJC) - closest to furthest. Each airport offers different public transportation options. We usually find the cheapest tickets via ​Google Flights.
The conference venue is only a few blocks away from the Redwood City Caltrain station, so hotel or Airbnb accommodation along the Caltrain line is recommended. Some great neighborhoods to consider: Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Mountain View, San Mateo and South San Francisco (near SFO). Here are some recommended hotels near Redwood City: Springhill Suites Belmont, Courtyard Marriott Redwood City, AC Hotels (Oyster Point), and Redwood Creek Inn (offer: $249/night - mention "Startup Grind" when you call to book).
Parking is limited so using the ​public transportation is highly encouraged​. ​Redwood City Caltrain station​ on Caltrain line is the closest to the conference. You may also use the ride sharing service, such as​ ​Lyft​.
There is no parking available in Downtown Redwood City, please use Caltrain or ride-share.
Ride share drop-off location: 823 Hamilton St., Redwood City.
