Week of 1,000 hugs
The Startup Grind Global Conference was a few weeks ago and as I reflect on it, I am so grateful to be a part of such a terrific group of people.
Once again the Startup Grind HQ team nailed it. Awesome lineup of speakers. Too many to mention. Something like 5,000 people made there way to Redwood City, CA to be part of the conference. We are appreciative of everyone that came.
The best part for me is seeing my Startup Grind pals and making new ones. Startup Grind Directors from around the world come together at the conference. From places like Australia, Sudan, Ireland, Brazil, Kenya, Spain, Scotland, China and many more. Over 100 cities were represented. We don’t just high-five or shake hands. We do that, but we hug too.
We hug because we are the active embodiment of what a community is. We are like minded people that share common values and a common purpose. We understand the value and contributions of entrepreneurs and startups to our communities. Startups are the change makers, the innovators, and the job creators. Startups are tomorrow’s economic builders and drivers. None of us know which startups will succeed, but what we do know is each one needs the support, education, and inspiration through the journey that our chapters and event provide.
For our Startup Grind team and community, it always has been and will always be about people. Anywhere and anyone. If you believe in entrepreneurship, we believe in you.
I hope that everyone has the opportunity to find and belong to a community like I have with Startup Grind for the past 3+ years. You too might experience a week of 1,000 hugs. If you are reading this and you don’t yet have a Startup Grind chapter in your city, join us. https://www.startupgrind.com/start/ We have many more hugs to give.
