Michael Minis is the CEO and co-founder of MOQO and Digital Mobility Solutions. MOQO's forerunner, tamyca GmbH, was founded in 2010 as a private Car-Sharing service as part of the "3 Day StartUp Aachen". The change of the company into Digital Mobility Solutions GmbH took place in 2017.

MOQO offers a professional platform that turns municipalities, companies or associations into mobility providers in their region within four weeks. Cars, bicycles, scooters or even pedal-scooters can be offered via the MOQO app. The platform digitizes the processes and thus enables a convenient service for providers and consumers: rental and billing processes, driver's license validation, services such as cleaning and damage assessment or the recording of vehicle conditions up to personnel or accounting systems are completely digitalized. The platform can be used with just a few vehicles and is also scalable so that several hundred vehicles can easily be offered. The focus is on the customer's brand, right up to a complete white label solution. As a partner in the MOQO network you can also offer your customers the possibility to use vehicles from other providers in seven European countries in addition to their own.

MOQO is especially interesting for everyone who wants to actively shape the traffic turnaround! We live in a time in which we can change the way mobility is offered, purchased and used in a sustainable way. Municipal utilities, real estate companies, sharing providers, car dealerships and also associations are currently recognizing this zeitgeist.

Meanwhile, the start-up company, which was founded in 2016, employs 20 mobility enthusiasts. The founders had previously developed private Car-Sharing services, before working with car dealerships to design fleet management for companies. "Our car dealership partners asked us whether their customers could also use the software for car fleets. Together we then developed the basic idea for MOQO," reports Michael Minis.

For the customers, the app is the focus of attention. It combines all services - including car keys and car booking.

The debate about the poor exhaust emission values and driving bans in particular showed the urgency of forward-looking mobility concepts. The MOQO team benefits from the exchange with the numerous companies in the region that deal with this topic. In addition, the technical university has locational advantages - not only due to the rapid transfer of science, but also because of the technology-oriented students. As co-initiators of digitalHUB Aachen, Harmsen, Pauly and Minis are active in the start-up network. The trio profits especially from the numerous contacts: "The digitalHUB offers us a great opportunity to improve or even expand existing business models," says Minis.

Michael Minis reveals what a future-proof business model must look like in this context: "In ten years we want to consume mobility in the same way we buy films and music today - as a suitable subscription".

The focus of the discussion will be on the cooperation of emerging start-ups with other companies. Our guest has already gained valuable experience with his start-up and offers the opportunity to exchange experiences about the opportunities and challenges involved.

Join us for an evening full of inspiring stories and gain insights into the cosmos of start-up, entrepreneurship and innovation.

We are looking forward to you!
