Ned’s background and experience delivers a rare combination of technical depth, commercial focus, product vision, and business development skills that have been a major driver in the successful development of goCatch. Ned graduated with an Honours degree in Computer Systems Engineering from The University of Adelaide in 2002. He then worked as a software developer in advanced manufacturing, online media and investment banking in Canada, Germany, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Australia. This included developing custom applications for the structured products trading desk at Barclays Capital in London. He then returned to Australia where he worked for the private wealth and commercial banking divisions of Macquarie Bank in Sydney.
Whilst at Macquarie, Ned was invited into a product management role on a new online share trading business, Macquarie Edge. This allowed Ned to build on his passion for product management, taking a key role in the commercial direction and technical implementation of the project. Ned’s focus is on building great products that deliver tangible value to users and generate strong positive engagement, in-turn driving viral uptake.
