May is Female Leaders month, and what better example of a Female Leader than Melanie Flintoft, who turned a small Adelaide business into a global fashion empire.
Startup Grind Adelaide hosts Melanie Flintoft, Co-Founder & Creative Director of Australian Fashion Labels.
Join us this 30 May and hear about the ups and downs it has taken Melanie to grow Australian Fashion Labels to where it is today. You’ll learn how Melanie uses innovative thinking to stay on top of her competition in such a highly competitive industry.
Australian Fashion Labels started in 2007 by Melanie and her husband, Dean Flintoft. Now, the company has grown with over 70 staff and supplies to 3 000 stores in more than 20 countries, while intending to stay based in Adelaide.
Under the company’s umbrella includes, Cameo, Finders Keepers, Keepsake, Jaggar, The Fifth, and BNKR retail and online stores. Melanie plans to continue the company’s aggressive, global growth and will soon be opening stores in Sydney, New York, London, and more.
Melanie manages to lead the company to growth every year, despite the huge competition in the fashion industry, with many players often left out of business. You’ll hear how Melanie responds to her competitors and how she turned a small Adelaide business into a global fashion company.
This event will be held in conjunction with Unite ADL Student x Startup Mixer.
