About this event

We’ve all heard of the hype around Bitcoin and blockchain technology – but how does it work? How will it change our future?

Startup Grind Adelaide hosts Rusty Russell, Blockstream software developer and formerly Head Deputy at Linux for over 20 years.

Rusty will be sharing his knowledge on Bitcoin, blockchain and how this technology is going to change our future. He'll also talk about his journey to developing the technology behind Blockstream and Linux.

Rusty has played an influential part of Bitcoin’s development after developing majority of the specification for the Lightning Network. He is also recognised for his work in the Linux kernel networking subsystem, and the Filesystem Hierarchy Standard, as well as starting his own cryptocurrency project, ‘pettycoin’ in 2014.

We will be hosting this event with Adelaide Blockchain, who will also chat to us about some of the opportunities they are working on.

Join us on Thursday July 19 with Rusty Russell at The Moonshine Lab to learn about Bitcoin and blockchain technology. As usual, tickets include beer, wine and food. Ticket prices have been subsidised for this event thanks to our sponsors!

Only 60 tickets available. Get them before it’s too late!
