Sohrab Jahanbani is a serial entrepreneur and startup enthusiast who has spent 22 years working at more than 10 startups across five countries and four sectors. He holds deep experience in global telecommunications and e-commerce having launched one of the world’s first data access platforms, built the UK’s first DSL network, developed one of the first-ever global SMS payment platforms, and, in Jordan, deployed the world’s first Wave II Wi-Max network. Most recently Sohrab co-founded GoNabit.com, the first daily deals site in the Middle East and North Africa, which he scaled to cover six markets and then sold to LivingSocial, marking the region’s first and only e-commerce exit. No stranger to startups, he has founded 5 other businesses in the UK and Middle East. Aside from being a passionate builder, Sohrab is also an active startup mentor, currently advising several early and growth-stage startups. In his free time, he is a keen wakeboarder, avid traveler, and an enthusiastic seeker of great foods. A perpetual learner, he continues to seek new experiences and opportunities to hone his craft.
