About this event

Galician by adoption and marathon runner. In between races, he builds things mainly in internet. Husband of Candela. Father of two, Dani and Irene. He's currently working at 8kdata trying to build the first 100% Spanish database.

He refers to himself as someone you got tired of talking and started doing things. A few years ago he made a career change and left his job at Atlassian, jumping into the startup world. He cofounded Otogami, a videogames marketplace that also served as the foundation for Runnics, a running shoes marketplace. Back in March he sold Otogami and joined 8kdata team as product manager.

David also writes La Bonilista, a weekly newsletter that skims through all things related to startups, software development and technology in Spain. He also organizes a conference called Tarugo (a blockhead), where speakers talk about building and selling digital products.

Although he’s worked as developer, his focus now is business and product development. He’ll share lessons learned by creating online products and things he’ll would take into account when the time comes to build he’s next startup.
