OFM radio presenter proudly born and raised in Welkom in the Free State, Lerato Lelia is a ball of positive energy and she has firmly set her foot into the media industry as a force to be reckoned with. With no fear of hard work she is where she is today due to her grinding. A former Architectural Technologist her journey in media started a bit later in life. Studying for the second time towards her degree in Psychology at Rhodes University that’s when the radio bug bit and has never let go. Campus radio station, Rhodes Music Radio was her first point of call and the rest, as they say, is history. She has tried her hand at music compiling as well as journalism the media industry continues to be her oyster and the list is endless on what she has accomplished in the different work roles she takes on. Fast forward to present day life, she is the first black female to host a daytime radio show on OFM called Midmorning Magic and is the host/producer/content producer of the show. She runs the desk and the conversation all on her own. She is an MC and sometimes dabbles in pageants as a judge. She was the regional judge for the 2016 Miss South Africa search. She has MC’ed for big corporates in Bloemfontein including the likes of SAICA and has also hosted the Best of Bloemfontein Awards. She received a Bright Star Award from the Liberty National Radio Awards in 2017. That means that she has been recognised by industry leaders as a future leader in the radio industry. This is just the beginning for this future radio mogul who is also on a mission to empower women through her work. At the end of the day, she is just a fun soul that loves to share the stories of fellow South Africans.
