Many successful start-ups have launched with enterprise backing. Whether in the form of funding, expertise or a direct route to market, corporate and government initiatives offer enticing opportunities for founders. But to take advantage, it is essential to understand how to pitch and present yourself and your business.

In December we welcome Danny Wootton, Head of Innovation for Information Systems within the MoD, an organisation that is at the forefront of innovation in the UK. In this role, Danny engages with businesses of all sizes, including early-stage start-ups, to understand how their innovative solutions can help the MoD. He works closely with the Defence & Security Accelerator to support these businesses, helping them to gain traction and accelerate the maturity of their solutions, hopefully leading to commercial opportunities. He is well qualified for this role, having founded four start-ups himself, successfully exiting two.
