In May we're very excited to be welcoming Lara Mott to Startup Grind Bournemouth for #SGWomen month. We'll be talking about innovation in public healthcare and what Lara and the team at ImproveWell have been doing in order to offer better ways for healthcare professionals to communicate quality improvement ideas to management. Before starting ImproveWell with her co-founder, Lara held a number of executive positions across healthcare investment, biopharmaceutical, life sciences consulting and financial services businesses and she'll talk us through some of the differences of raising funding in those roles when compared with finding investment for ImproveWell. ImproveWell is currently being utilised by a number of NHS facilities here in the UK but Lara has also started to expand overseas with the product now being used across facilities in both the US and New Zealand.

Lara co-founded health-tech business ImproveWell in 2016 to offer better ways for healthcare professionals to communicate quality improvement ideas to management. She is an experienced executive having previously spent 11 years in a range of senior roles across healthcare investment, biopharmaceutical, life sciences consulting and financial services businesses. Lara holds a first class degree in Pharmacology from Bristol University where she was awarded the Hans Heller Memorial Prize for outstanding performance and in November 2017 she was named a “rising star” amongst the top 50 female leaders in UK healthcare in a report produced by BioBeat.
