Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Bournemouth, Kortext is a leading digital learning platform with a global staff and client base.

Startup founders can often overlook the implications of adopting a business-to-business (B2B) or business-to-consumer (B2C) strategy. Originally focused on B2B, Yaz has been overseeing the development of Kortext’s consumer market.

About Yaz

Yaz El Hakim has worked in Higher Education for over 15 years, starting as an hourly paid lecturer in Sport Psychology. He later held the roles of Director of Learning and Teaching and Student Engagement. Yaz held leadership roles in over £800,000 worth of other nationally funded research projects, including TESTA (www.testa.ac.uk). Yaz advocates that personalised learning and associated analytics will transform learning experiences, enhancing student retention, progression and success.

In his role as Director of Learning Experience, his work focuses on ensuring the learning experiences of every user is being optimised in both pedagogical and technological elements.
