The beautiful story begins in 2012. Fascinated by the world of computer science since a young age, programming is part of the hobbies of the young Franck Nijimbere in high school. He then attended the International School of Bujumbura (EIB), and dreams of joining the major American universities as a computer scientist.
While waiting for this meeting, he is lost in pages on the Internet in search of possible opportunities that would enable him to materialize the ambition: "I knew perfectly well what I wanted to do after high school. During the last year of my general humanities in 2014, I got closer to other young Burundians studying in the West, especially in the United States, to learn about what needed to be done to create opportunities for me. to continue my studies, "recalls young Nijimbere.
After having passed the various tests of intellectual aptitude (SAT, ACT, TOEFL, etc.) necessary to apply to a good number of American universities, he won the "Rugari Scholarship", which provides a complete scholarship program at Morehouse College, Atlanta, for African young people from countries in the Great Lakes region (Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Burundi and Uganda).
Double cursus
