At this event we will be talking to Stephen Larkin, who's roommate at the University of Cape Town, appreciated the fact that he had a light to study at night. From that moment on, Stephen dedicated his life to finding a way to give electricity to 600 million Africans.
Come here his journey so far, and the incredible ingenuity of South Africans.

Stephen Larkin is a Cape Town born, UK-based chartered accountant with a penchant for mathematical algorithms.
He co-founded Africa New Energies in 2012 with a simple vision - to write an algorithm to find natural gas to generate electricity cheaply enough to give 600 million Africans affordable power for the first time.
He has crowdfunded over 90 million Rand, and has since attracted rival bids valuing the company at hundreds of millions of dollars. He plans stay independent with a targeted $1 billion stock market valuation next year.
