This month we are privileged to host Cheryl Tulkoff, ASQ CMQ OE, ASQ CRE for our fireside chat. Cheryl will discuss the future of leadership and continuous improvements in processes or personal development with Michael Peterson, Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at The University of Texas at Austin Business School. Cheryl is an exceptional athlete running everything from 5k’s to 100 milers including the Boston Marathon, the Tahoe Triple (three marathons in 3 days) and the nonstop Rocky Raccoon 100 miler.

The numerous acronyms and accolades after Cheryl's name are just a start to her diverse and numerous accomplishments. With over 20 years of experience in electronics manufacturing focusing on reliability and failure analysis, Cheryl's passion for applying her unique background to accelerate product design and development while improving reliability, optimizing resources, and improving customer satisfaction has established as a thought leader in manufacturing process improvement.

Accomplishments at National Instruments:

•Lead the company-wide strategy development and hands-on implementation of a Continuous Improvement (CI) program focusing on Lean methodologies

• Lead in consolidating, promoting and executing on a customer experience improvement initiative

• Manage the periodic reporting, analysis and follow up of key reliability metrics including product returns, customer issues, and internal quality issues

Cheryl is a published author and a senior member of both ASQ and IEEE. I’m also an ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer and Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence.

Cheryl earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Georgia Tech and finished at the top of her class while earning a Master of Science in Technology Commercialization at the University of Texas at Austin

Cheryl also enjoys travel and have visited 46 US states and over 20 countries around the world.
