Steve is the owner /ceo of Empyrion Technologies Inc, a Chilliwack based provider of IT services to the SMB market throughout the lower mainland and beyond.
After getting retrained as a programmer in late 1980’s due to a head-on collision, steve began his career in IT supporting accounting and payroll programs.
During this era, Local area networks became popular and Steve took on the challenge of becoming Novell Certified. By 1993 he joined First Heritage Savings (now Envision Financial) and spent 6.5 yrs working at various roles with the IT department during a period of tremendous growth. In 1999 steve left to work as a sub-contractor, working within several of BC’s largest organisations on Y2k projects. In 2001 Steve Joined Ballard Power systems and spent 3+ years within that organisation.
In 2004 his tenure at Ballard ended and steve pursued other interests for a few months while he pondered his future, finally starting his own 1 man company Pinnacle services Group, again providing IT support to local businesses.
In November 2005, Steve took over Empyrion Technologies and soon after merged the client bases of 4 small IT providers into 1 company.
Steve has partnered with his wife Jennine as co-owners of Empyrion Technologies for 12 years and has grown the company to 21 employees, servicing some of our regions largest companies. Empyrion’s success can be attributed to having 3 clear goals and building a culture that attracts & retains employees for the long-haul.
BC Business magazine listed Empyrion technologies as one of the top 100 fastest growing companies in BC.
