What’s an Airplane Pitch? Imagine you're on a trip and seated next to an "executive" of one of your top target market companies. This person could make your company phenomenally successful if you say the right things. Have you thought about what you will say? You have the opportunity to provide more information than in your elevator pitch but you don’t want to go too long, turn off the listener, and possibly lose this potential client. This is the essence of an airplane pitch.
You have the undivided attention of someone for longer than your 30 second elevator pitch and you're not pitching for money. You're pitching to land a client. What do you say? Everything needs to be focused on getting your customer to say YES in 5 minutes or less. We all practice our 30 second elevator/investor pitches. We don't always practice the pitches that focus on building the business and getting clients.
You’ll have 4 minutes to sell yourself, the company and its relevant product to the "executive", then receive valuable supportive feedback from attendees.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO? Prepare, in 100 words or less, an email telling us why you should be one of our presenters and send it to Chris Haug (email@example.com) by December 10th. We’ll select the three most compelling and creative submissions for the event.
