In 2016, they had a highly successful exit and now run Gula Tech Ventures, an investment firm focused on helping early stage companies in the cyber-security space.

Ron and Cyndi Gula are the embodiment of entrepreneurship. They saw huge problems and developed unique solutions to meet the needs of their markets. They are co-founders of multiple highly successful companies, most recently Tenable Network Security. Tenable Network Security grew to more than 20k customer's worldwide, $100MM in annual revenue, more than 650 employees operating in 10 different countries, and raised $300MM in funding from multiple private, government, and angel investors. Ron & Cyndi served Tenable from its founding until May of 2016 when they had a highly successful exit and co-founded Gula Tech Ventures.
As community leaders and passionate advocates for education and scientific research, Cyndi is highly active as a Board member of the Howard County Economic Development Authority, the Howard Tech Council, the Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship and a variety of educational and entrepreneurship initiatives. Ron serves on the Advisory Board for the University of Maryland Cybersecurity Center. He was also appointed to the National Cyber-security Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Education Advisory Board as part of the National Initiative for Cyber-security Education.
Ron has received special awards for leadership from both The Washington Post and The Baltimore Sun, and was named Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 for defense and security, together with Jack Huffard and Renaud Deraison, and has authored three patents.
Cyndi, holds a BS in Ceramic Sciences and Engineering from Alfred University. Ron holds a BS from Clarkson University and an MSEE from the University of Southern Illinois.
