About this event

Startup Grind is one of the biggest communities of entrepreneurs. Our mission is to help every entrepreneur in the world. We do so by hosting a monthly recurring event to inspire, educate, and connect entrepreneurs.

We are excited to organize our upcoming session entitled The Future of Startups: Post COVID-19 where we are privilege to host Ana Maria Torres, Global Director of Entrepreneurship World Cup, GEN. This amazing webinar will be organized jointly with GEN Bangladesh, in association with Dept. of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, DIU, and E-EduConnect.

Ana Maria Torres is the Director of the Entrepreneurship World Cup at the Global Entrepreneurship Network. The Entrepreneurship World Cup started out as an idea, much like your business, that two teams deeply believed in and scaled it out to what you see now, 187 countries and more than 100,000 entrepreneurs! The value proposition of EWC is all about the entire experience – training, resources, connections, mentorship and more. But on top of that, we’ve got a great number of impactful prizes – up to $25 million in total, including $1 million in cash prizes plus investment opportunities and awesome resources and perks from our leading partners.

Ms. Ana Maria has been an adviser and consultant for governments, international organizations, and the private sector for over 15 years, focusing on fostering innovation and entrepreneurship at the national, regional, and global levels. She has developed social impact projects and has tested the most innovative models in Fintech & Sustainable Development in the Western Hemisphere, contributing to the development of national and regional entrepreneurship policies. She has also served as a Strategic Advisor to the Young Americas Business Trust/Organization of American States and leads the Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas, the largest hemispheric competition for young entrepreneurs in 34 countries of the Western Hemisphere. Prior to this role, she worked at IDBLab, the innovation laboratory of the Inter-American Development Bank Group, where she was responsible for the Technologies for Financial Inclusion Program that focused on developing innovative business models to provide financial access to the un-served population in Latin America and the Caribbean. As an entrepreneur, she is the Co-Founder of Hilo Sagrado that has been named one of the top High Impact Startups in Latin-America using creativity to improve people’s lives.

Do not miss this webinar on 22th May at 8 pm (Dhaka Time).
