About this event

Live tech demos, no PPT allowed! Brought to you by Flywheel Coworking and hosted by Ben Gilman. Ben is Principal and CTO of Dualboot Partners,  seasoned technology veterans with a long and proven track record of building new products and re-platforming legacy systems. He's also co-founder and CTO of PetScreening.com, a no-charge service providing an easy and standardized way to hold all new applicants and renewing residents accountable to your pet policies - including your No Pet policies.

We are excited to bring Tech Slam 'N Eggs to the Jay Hurt Hub for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Davidson College. The continued collaboration between students, faculty, startups, and corporate professionals creates opportunity and economic development for the entire region. Entrepreneurs, find out how you can hire a student for a gig, hire a summer intern, or collaborate with a class. Students, find out how you can find a mentor, find a gig, learn data analysis and new technologies.

What: Live technology demos.

Who: We are connecting Technology Leaders and Innovators with Designers, Developers, and Builders of technology-driven software and hardware solutions.

When: We start at 7:30AM! That is a time of the day that is self-selecting. You can bet that people who attend are serious about the use of their time. No tire kickers!

Why: Because we need to convene our community, share our successes and focus on and support companies with high growth potential.

Qualifications:

• No Powerpoints

• Working Demos Only

• All applying companies will be required to demo in advance of participation acceptance

We are focused on live demos, not Powerpoints. That means that the companies have crossed the “great divide” in startup land between having a concept and building a functional product.

Tech Slam 'N Eggs will be filled with people you have never met before. Bringing new people into the mix is a critical step in assuring growth and forward motion. But it is the quality of people that makes the greatest difference, such as technology leaders, accredited investors, and successful serial tech entrepreneurs. The quality of the connections is a real-time litmus test.

Our assumption is that our region has deep pockets of innovative technology and talent that can benefit from the cross pollination by bringing awareness, interest and visibility to data driven and product enabled solutions. We are encouraging organizations to seek local solutions, partner with each other to solve problems, and create a thriving tech startup economy.
