They say opening a restaurant is one of the toughest businesses to start. Natalie and Jack Skilliter, a husband and wife team, know this journey well. This month, they'll share their story of opening Corner Kitchen, a rustic yet refined scratch kitchen where they've brought their diverse, high-caliber food service experience from markets like NYC and DC to Dayton since 2015.

Corner Kitchen was founded by Natalie and Jack Skilliter, a husband and wife team, in 2015. It is the incarnation of their personal style, sensibility, and taste. This "finer diner" showcases their passion for flavor, their commitment to excellence, and their genuine dedication to community. 

Yet they say opening a restaurant is one of the toughest businesses to start. Natalie and Jack know this journey well. From long hours and late nights to hands-on management, coordinating dozens of details, crafting the right dining experience and working with their spouse, they will share their story of opening and growing Corner Kitchen in Dayton's Oregon District.
