Pam Morris has more than 40 years’ experience in managed health care and the public sector. As an entrepreneurial architect, she built Dayton Area Health Plan, funded with a half million dollar grant from the State of Ohio and 38 employees (1989), to present-day CareSource, boasting projected revenue of $7 Billion and 2,600+ employees. Pam Morris pioneered Ohio's first mandatory Medicaid managed care program. 27 years later, CareSource is one of the nation’s largest Medicaid Managed Care plans, serving more than 1.5 million members in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia. The plan has reinvested more than $11 million back into the community through the CareSource Foundation. In the Plan’s first major growth period, Morris was named the 2007 National Entrepreneur of the Year, Healthcare Services by Ernst &Young. Locally, she won the 2014 Maureen Patterson Regional Leader Award from the DDC and was listed on the DBJ's Biz Women Power 50 list. She is a former YWCA Dayton Woman of Influence honoree (2011), and a Dayton Business Journal Extraordinary Women Business Leader (2012). Pam earned her B.A. from West Virginia University.
