Pete Hilgeman founded Dayton Beer Company in 2012 in a small retail location in Kettering, becoming the Dayton area's first true microbrewery in over 51 years. In April of 2015, Pete expanded operations to include a 8,000-square-foot production brewery and beer hall in downtown Dayton. At this location, Dayton Beer Company produces beers that are canned and sold throughout southwest and central Ohio. Recently, Pete announced the downtown location was growing again, adding a 3,500-square-foot expansion and opening the 2nd Street Pizza Company.
Pete is a lifelong Dayton resident. He earned his B.A. in Marketing & International Business from the University of Cincinnati.
