Jaanika Merilo 20 years of experience in technology and investment sector. She started in 1997 as programmer of internet banks in Olivetti, founded her outsourcing company with clients such as Nokia and Microsoft and soon moved to managing TMT (technology-media-telecom) investment funds. 

From 2007-2012 Jaanika was Member of Management Board and responsible for investments in Baltics, Russia and Ukraine of private investment fund USInvest with assets of 350 million USD. 

Since 2012 Jaanika has worked in launching the initiatives to develop the IT ecosystem in Ukraine. She co-funded angel network UAngel, Ukrainian venture capital and private equity association UVCA and BrainBasket Foundation - dedicate to IT-education. 

Since 2015 she is as well in Ukrainian government, first as advisor to Minister of Economics, now as Advisor to Minister of Infrastructure and Mayor of Lviv and as main job as Vice Mayor of Dnipro, implementing the e-government reforms. She was chosen as one of 100 leaders of innovation whose “implementation of innovation improve peoples lives” by Financial Times and Google (New Europe 100).
