About this event

Our pioneer event will be hosted on the 29th of July 2017 and our first ever speaker is Mambe Churchill Nanje he is self-taught software engineer turned entrepreneur the founder of Njorku.com – Africa’s first job search engine that helps thousands of job seekers daily find jobs in locations nearest to them.

Douala being a newly created Chapter of startup grind, we had to pick a speaker who could really attract the tech community in Cameroon. As he said “If you are talking tech, I know tech in Cameroon”. He is clearly the biggest Tech export of Cameroon and one of the biggest in Africa. For somebody who started out from the very bottom and has worked his way up, he is one of the best we could bring to our first event to let our community of entrepreneurs and most importantly aspiring entrepreneurs know that it is possible.

Our event will feature the Tech communities of the entire nation especially those of Yaounde, Douala and especially Buea. With a vibrant and growing tech space in the country, we are looking to build a community which through networking can foster collaboration and partnerships that will see more startups grow and attract the necessary support especially funding from the international community.
