From the age of 11, Kieran Aitken has been entrepreneurial.

It all began with selling “anything legal” on the playground to make some extra money. At the age of 16, Kieran invested £150 in two portable pressure washers and subsequently started a subscription-based car valeting service in his area. Through hard work and tenacity, the car valet service grew to employ 9 people and make £10,000 in profits over its first year and a half in operation

At 17, Kieran hid behind billionaire entrepreneur Sir Tom Hunter’s car and pitched the concept for Orbit to him in a car park..

Founded in 2015, Orbit is a Social Enterprise on a mission to mould the UK’s emerging entrepreneurial and entrepreneurial talent. Their Accelerator Programme combines world class training with a unique culture, resulting in an atmosphere bursting with positive energy, creativity and ambition.

To date, Orbit has supported hundreds of teenagers to launch their own business and secure jobs in an industry of their own choice. In 2018, Orbit announced its partnerships with Ernst & Young, RBS, NatWest, and The Prince’s Trust and aims to complete its expansion to 10 UK locations by late 2019.

By the time Kieran was 19 he had built relationships with some of the UK’s wealthiest individuals and political leaders, and leveraged these to further the aims of the business.

Join us on 27 November to hear more about how a bipolar, 22 year old university drop-out is challenging the status quo in both education and business. The story so far is incredible, but it's only just beginning...
