With over two decades of business, sales and entrepreneurial experience, Donald Thompson has a track record of developing competitive, sustainable solutions for global companies, entrepreneurs and emerging leaders.
As CEO of the technology company, I-Cubed, Donald grew the organization during a global recession with no outside capital. The result? Annual revenue growth of 30% year after year.
In 2014, I-Cubed was acquired by the global technology enterprise, KPIT. Donald held the role of Executive Chairman for iCiDigital, a spin-off business of I-Cubed where he groomed his successor until Beringer Capital acquired it in 2017.
As Executive Chairman of Walk West, Donald partners with the leadership team to develop and implement the firm’s growth strategy. Currently, Walk West is #647 on the Inc. 5000 fastest growing list and is ranked the fastest growing agency in North Carolina.
Donald is an emeritus member of the strategic advisory board for North Carolina State University’s Computer Science Department. With a focus on accelerating North Carolina’s next generation of technology companies and entrepreneurs, Donald also is an advisor and investor to several startups and established firms.
