Ted Yang, Managing Partner of Innovation. Executed., is an investor, advisor and turnaround consultant to growth stage companies in the software, biotech, marketing and ecommerce industries. With more than 15 years of experience in the capital markets industry, his career portfolio includes CTO/COO-level strategy and execution, opportunity assessment and due diligence, scale up and VC/PE deal intro and facilitation roles at leading banks and hedge funds including Citigroup, Tudor Investments, Citadel Investment Group, and Bridgewater Associates. Previously Yang served as the CTO and Founder of MediaCrossing, Inc., an independent digital media trading partner serving publishers, marketers and agencies. During his tenure at MediaCrossing, he raised $8MM in seed and Series A capital, building the company from zero to millions in revenue and earning MediaCrossing the State of Connecticut Technology Product of the Year in 2013. Yang is also focused on promoting entrepreneurship locally. In 2012, he was Founder and Managing Partner of the Stamford Innovation Center, which provides workspace, education, events and funding for early stage companies. He received his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Engineering degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and was a founder of eTechTransfer, an innovator in the technology transfer space, which won the Wharton Business Plan competition of 2000. Yang is one of the founding partners of the Connecticut Chapter of Social Venture Partners (SVP), which builds philanthropic communities that borrow from venture capital practices and make highly engaged investments of money, resources and business expertise in local nonprofit organizations, with the aim of building their capacity and sustainability. With 2,000+ members worldwide, SVP had contributed over $50 million in grants and thousands of strategic volunteering hours to 500+ nonprofit organizations. He is the chairman of the board of directors of Connex International and sits on several other boards including ChemPacific Corporation, and the Unitarian Church of Westport. Ted resides in New Canaan with his wife and children.
