Zomato, ShopClues, Snapdeal, Rivigo, Oyo, Grofers, Hike, Urban Clap, Grey Orange, Delhivery - what's common between these start-ups? - All founded and scaled-up in GURGAON!
We bring to you the Gurgaon chapter of Startup Grind to celebrate the journey of the founders, the team and the backers of these and many other amazing start-ups coming out from our very own Ggn. And in the process educate, inspire and connect entrepreneurs locally and as well as with the startup grind global community spread across 350 cities and 120 countries. Our objective here is to make the experienced and successful founders more accessible to the budding ones.
There is no denying that every start-up founder has its own share of highs and lows, and a LOT to learn from them. Arguably more from the times when the going gets tough and challenging. For our launch, we bring one such amazing journey of an ever energetic, passionate and metric driven founder - Nidhi Agarwal who founded KAARYAH in 2014 which was a technology-enabled and data analytics-driven apparel brand that catered to women’s western wear category in India. As a solo female founder she was strongly supported by her Core Team, Mentors and funding from the likes of Mr. Ratan Tata, TV Mohandas Pai and SAHA fund. She ran the ship for more than 3 years until she decided to close down in the second half of 2017.
Let's live through the complete lifecycle of KAARYAH - from the excitement of starting-up to the most difficult decision of closing it down and everything in between, through a fire-side chat with Nidhi. We bring in a new perspective to the story by listening from the core team members at KAARYAH and mentor to Nidhi who stood by her during the toughest of the times.
You are an entrepreneur building your start-up or a budding one. In any case, you will definitely have times when things won't go as expected and you got to survive your startup 'near-death' events. In these tough times, you will need all the inspiration from stories such as these to sail through. And finally as an entrepreneur your network is your asset, so come-in, say Hi and create a lifelong connection.
So join us for the launch and lets together make the Gurgaon chapter a success for the life called entrepreneurship!
