As founder of The Little Bra Company®, Emily Lau oversees product development, operations and business development for the company. Inspired by her own efforts to find attractive bras that fit and enhanced her petite frame, Lau created The Little Bra Company® in 2007. Before that, Lau spent years scouring department stores, lingerie catalogs, and boutiques looking for the perfect bra for her petite body type, only to find that the selection of smaller sizes looked more like training bras, and the ones that were more stylish never fit quite right. In talking with her friends, she knew she wasn’t alone and recognized a niche that needed to be filled.
Prior to founding The Little Bra Company®, Lau served as executive producer for Skylark Media Group, Inc., a production company dedicated to creating documentaries and marketing content for major international artists. Lau also worked as a writer and producer on documentary programming for the Discovery Channel, Lifetime Network, and The History Channel.
Ms. Lau was born and raised in a suburb of Los Angeles, CA, and has been a proud Angeleno all of her life. Ms. Lau graduated from the Annenberg School of Communication & Journalism at the University of Southern California and later pursued a career in broadcast journalism. Although she loved her career path and enjoyed being a writer/producer for several successful cable series, there was a passion and need of hers that was greater than television.
The Little Bra Company® can now be found in hundreds of online and offline retail stores across the United States and in more than 12 countries around the world. The Little Bra Company® also sells through their own webiste at TheLittleBraCompany.com, and has created an exclusive line called Ariette Petite Lingerie by The Little Bra Company for Target. Named “Best Petite Bra Brand” by Real Simple Magazine, The Little Bra Company® has also been featured on the Today Show, InStyle Magaazine, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Buzzfeed, and Refinery 29.
