About this event

Lights, Camera... Entrepreneur Action! Startup Grind Hollywood is launching and we're kicking off our first event on Thursday, July 20 at IgnitedSpaces (7080 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood, CA 90028).

Join us to celebrate the launch of Startup Grind Hollywood along with an exclusive fireside chat with Awesomeness TV's former Head of Awestruck & Big Frame Co-Founder, Sarah Penna. We'll be getting up close and personal with Sarah about her entrepreneurial journey, success, and advice, as well as her next new venture.

Named one of Fast Company's "Most Creative People," Sarah Penna reached recent accolades when she created and developed Awestruck, a millennial-moms focused network and lifestyle brand that launched in 2015 on Awesomeness TV. She was responsible for identifying and signing talent to Awestruck while collaborating on programming for various platforms (YouTube, FB and Go90). During her time there, the MCN reached over 60 million views/month with a combination of celebrity and digital native talent.

Before that, Sarah blazed her trail as Co-Founder of Big Frame, one of the first digital-only talent management firms. She helped establish Big Frame as an industry leading media company and talent management firm with 300 talent signed, who have a combined 70+ million YouTube subscribers and have a total social media reach of 200+ million followers. Dubbed “CAA for the digital set,” Big Frame was acquired by AwesomenessTV in April 2014.

Sarah has also been a featured speaker at Harvard Business School, USC, ComiCon, BlogHer, BlogHer Pro, CES, Digital Hollywood, Social Media Week, VidCon, SAG, Digital LA, BAFTA, Stream LA, YouTube London Space, YouTube LA Space, YouTube Pulse, and more.
