Dan Fredinburg is an adventurer, engineer, and entrepreneur. He is the Head of Privacy for Google[x], the innovation lab responsible for self-driving cars, internet connectivity through high-altitude balloons, and other moonshot projects. Dan created Google's Adventure Team and continues to pioneer the social impact space; he's building a co-work facility (The Laundry) in San Francisco, where social entrepreneurs can collaborate and build companies. Dan Co-founded (and sold) Seamless Planet, an adventure tourism start-up that helps indigenous tour guides. He developed business intelligence products to make YouTube profitable. At Boeing, Dan created a security surveillance system for the Future Combat Systems military modernization program. Dan holds over 50 patents and patents pending. He has a BS in Computer Science from UC Irvine, an MS in Intelligent Robotics from the University of Southern California, in addition to multiple, partially-completed degrees from Stanford and Berkeley.
