For the #SGWomen month our next guest in the #UnsungLocalHeroes series celebration, and in partnership with HerVenture ( a dynamic mobile learning app for women entrepreneurs), we're hosting Emmaline Karanja founder SIKI Youth Association and a mental health advocate. SIKI is a Swahili word meaning SPICE. She founded SIKI while in 3rd year after the tragic shooting of Ivy Wangeci, a medical student at her university. This incident inspired her to start educating her society about gender based violence. Her main aim is to bring youth together to do something positive for the society using their talents and creativity. Emma is a YALI alumni, PLO Lumumba Foundation mentee, Asian Foundation mentor and a peer counsellor. She's also a brand ambassador for Doctorslive organization for mental health. She's currently a 4th year student at Moi University pursuing a degree in Tours and Travel. Join us as we celebrate this amazing lady's passionate drive to make her environment a better place for youth to prosper.
