Lelemba Phiri, an award-winning educator, writer, keynote speaker and a gender-lens angel investor at Enygma Ventures with a focus on women entrepreneurs in Africa.
She is also a director and shareholder at Zoona - a mobile payment business that enables the drive of young entrepreneurs and the power of cutting-edge technology to bring safe and reliable financial services to under-served communities all over Africa.
A key stakeholder at Startup Circles - an online accelerator platform that fast tracks entrepreneurs to launch their businesses and access investors.
Lelemba is passionate about women leadership, entrepreneur development in Africa and has committed her life's work to advance equality and empowerment for women.
Beverly Nicole founder Initiative for Her (I4Her) - a Nonprofit organization championing quality education for women and girls in the rural society - has a deep-seated desire to see women and girls take up entrepreneurship in Kenya, and Africa at large.
Through Initiative For Her, she provides safe spaces and mentorship programs for girls, providing clothing, learning materials and care packages to young girls, needy women, and persons living with a disability.
It will be a jam-packed session, diving deep into some of the brilliant minds on the continent. _They just happen to be women_ ;-)

The Zambian born Angel investor is a wife and mother of two teenage boys. Her passion is with women leadership and entrepreneurship development in Africa and has committed her life’s work to advance equality and empowerment for women.
Lelemba is the Principal at Africa Trust Group - the Southern Africa fund manager for the R100m US-based Enygma Ventures fund. Enygma Ventures is the first VC focused on investing in women entrepreneurs in Southern Africa (SADC). They take a holistic approach to invest in women by investing in both the woman entrepreneur and the enterprise; and facilitating their access to markets and critical business tools.
Prior to her entrepreneurial journey, Lelemba has worked 15 years with various organizations across various African & Sub-Saharan countries. Her work experience includes heading key functions such as marketing, training and development and finance in multi-nationals. She has also provided leadership and personal development training at various organizations including lecturing and keynotes at Universities such as University of Cape Town, University of Cambridge, Oxford University, Rhodes University, University of Zambia and University of the Free State.
Lelemba holds a Masters Degree in Development Finance with distinction from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business. She is a UK Certified Chartered Accountant (FCCA) and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting (Hon) from the Oxford Brookes University (UK). She has also received extensive personal and business development training from various world-renowned experts such as Dr John Demartini, Roger Hamilton and Robert Kiyosaki including training on organizational effectiveness and staff development experts from Vital Smarts.

Beverly Nicole is the founder of Initiative For Her (Community Based Organization), the Deputy Youth Governor Homabay County under Youth Governors Kenya (YGK) and a Social Scientist. She holds a BA in Community Development and an ongoing MA Sociology from Moi University. She is an alumnus of Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) and also the alumni head of YALI Homabay County chapter.
She is passionate about community work and has been very instrumental in championing for the rights and needs of women, youth, children and persons with disabilities. Through YGK, she has actively participated in petitioning the County Government of Homa Bay on youth affairs and carried out various SDGs campaigns.
Through Initiative For Her, she provides safe spaces and mentorship programs for girls, provides clothing, learning materials and care packages to young girls, needy women and persons with disability.
She has done campaigns on issues such as teen pregnancies, and is a strong advocate for empowerment through education and innovation. She continues to engage various schools and members of the community in mobilization of resources for infrastructure through fundraising, book donations, tree planting among others.
