About this event

Join us for a Fireside Chat with Matthew Wegener, founder of ISoft Data Systems and Turbine Flats Project. We'll dive into Matthew's entrepreneurial journey and get some great insights and advice!

Matthew Wegener has been a fixture in the Lincoln Entrepreneurship scene since 2001 when his company, ISoft Data Systems opened their doors to bring in and build a community with other early stage and start-up businesses. Those early experiments provided a first home to companies like Allied Strategy which became Semcat, Phoenix Web Group and Agile Sports, known today as Hudl, and in 2008, led to the creation of the Turbine Flats Project. "The Flats" is an "Idea Community" at 22nd and Y Street, with now over 30,000 Square Feet of office / incubator space and is home to 40 companies and organizations. The facility also features a 1,500 square foot homage to Nikola Tesla, an art gallery, coffee shop, and training classroom. Turbine Flats continues to support and help build the entrepreneurial community in Lincoln through monthly First Friday events to highlight local entrepreneurs and creatives, and events such as Make Lincoln, an annual crawfish boil, and a number of other social and networking activities.

ISoft has also launched its own start-up offspring, Presage Analytics, which provides data management and analysis tools for quality assurance and food safety programs within food production plants. Matthew was also one of the founding Council Members of Lincoln's Young Professionals Group, has been active in his neighborhood organization, and is passionate about Lincoln's "creative scene" through support for music and the arts
