Shalin Jethi is the manager of PEPZambia’s Nyamuka Zambia Business Plan Competition. He is an enterprise development specialist with over two decades’ experience. He trained as an economist and has worked on projects and programmes across Sub-Saharan Africa, South East Asia and Europe. Shalin is passionate about the value of enterprise stimulation programmes to encourage entrepreneurial talent to come forward, and has run a number of successful business plan competitions. He believes that Zambia has the potential to develop a strong business base through a new generation of entrepreneurs working in non-traditional sectors.
Private Enterprise Programme Zambia is a UKAaid initiative aimed to help startups, micro, small medium entrepreneurs with their businesses. PEPZambia helps viable entrepreneurs with access to business development strategies, developmental plans and more. It has thus introduced a business plan competition called “Nyamuka Zambia” that will fund deserving startups.
