Malekano Mwanza (Maliq) and Edwin Chibanga are the co-founders of Fortress Media. Established in February 2014, with the enthusiasm of vibrant optimistic entrepreneurs, Fortress is an award winning media production house that specializes in photography, video production and graphic design. At face value, it is hard to imagine that a small startup venture with origins founded in humble beginnings, two cameras and an equal number of computers could rise meteorically to a status that produces healthy revenue and a current worth of K1 800,000. Fortress, is a cutting edge company that was established by two young Zambians, Mr. Malekano Mwanza (Maliq Waku Fortress #mwf), BSc. from UNZA, and Mr. Edwin Chibanga (Edwin of Fortress #eof), BA. Economics from UNAM that were further joined in venture by Simeon Goma. The partners came together after quitting their respective jobs to pursue what can only described as an unwavering devotion. Today, the firm boasts a core business production of high-end photography for various clients ranging from corporate entities, international NGOs, Local NGOs, and the Government. From photography to video, Fortress Media has collaborated to date with almost every sector - Whether it is weddings, modeling shoots, television series, political advertising, culinary events, conferences, and the list goes on, they have a foothold. The young firm is now a brand that cannot be excluded from the annals of conversation when speaking of media in Zambia. Currently, Fortress has a team consisting of fifteen staff and this includes departments organised into divisions of: Administration, Photography, Video Editing, and Graphic design. Certainly, this is an enthusiastic team built from scratch to produce nothing, but the best of what they do, and giving people an experience and making our tagline memorable!
