Every year Startup Grind hosts SG Women’s Month, proudly recognizing the accomplishments of female leaders around the world. Throughout the month of May, we’re hosting local and global events with the goal of bringing together female entrepreneurs and investors who are leading, shaping, and funding the future – female first.

Meet our speaker:

Amy Sorrells, Senior Director, Global Communications at Oracle for Startups.

Amy is a communications professional with 25 years of marketing-communications, content creation, public relations, and media relations experience spanning numerous industries including technology, media, healthcare, and sports. She currently leads global communications for Oracle for Startups, Oracle’s global program to support startups and innovators, where she oversees strategic communications, content creation, thought leadership, analyst relations, and public relations.

She joined Oracle in May of 2012, as part of an acquisition of technology startup Vitrue. Prior to Oracle, she was a long-time communications consultant, working with numerous media and technology clients. Sorrells also served in communications roles with Fox Cable Networks, CNN, and Turner Sports. Amy received her degree from Auburn University. She resides in Atlanta with her husband and two boys.
