Christian started his career at German Media giant Bertelsmann in the ‘90s in New York City. He made the company’s first investments in Silicon Valley joining the Board of a company founded by Steve Blank (now of “Lean Startup” fame), beginning his long relationship with entrepreneurship and forging lifelong friendships with many SV entrepreneurs. He has since founded several startups, been part of the leadership team taking Imax Corp. public and served as Head of Digital for Universal Music Group East Coast and as Head of Media at GLG.

Since 2014 he has been focusing on helping international founders find success for their companies in the US market. He is currently Lead Mentor and Member of the Steering Committee of the German Accelerator which has brought over German 200 startups to the US creating several unicorns such as Celonis and N26 in the process. In 2018 he co-founded Ellis Accelerator which focuses on non-German international startups.

Christian has always made it a priority to give back to the next generation of founders and the community. In his free time he is a mentor at Endeavor Miami and BUILD, an entrepreneurship program for high school students from underresourced communities. Finally, he is a member of “Better Future Network”, a global group of stakeholders who focus on how innovation and climate tech can help build a carbon neutral and robust new economy right now.
