Mr. Weaver sets the overall LED technology and architecture direction for Lumenetix LED modules and LED light engines. He brings to his role an extensive background in mechanical engineering and is credited with a range of innovations in Lumenetix LED lighting designs. Previously he was Adjunct Professor in the Engineering Department at Cabrillo College, where he designed a high-efficiency regenerative vehicle drive system. He was also Senior Research Engineer for Theidea, where he modeled and tested high-efficiency internal combustion engines and developed a solar photovoltaic concentrator system. He held the Guiness World Record for the  World’s Fastest Human Being on a Human-Propelled Vehicle, a physical feat, but also an engineering feat that later influenced a Lumenetix product design. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California Berkeley.
