About this event

We are delighted to host Glen De Vries for our first virtual Fireside Chat. Glen is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Medidata, the largest tech firm based out of New York City. Glen built Medidata from scratch, took it through multiple rounds of VC funding, a very successful IPO, and the largest acquisition in the Healthcare sector in 2019 for close to 6B dollars. Medidata plays a very critical role in the accelerated development of a vaccine for COVID-19, with almost every vaccine for COVID being developed on their path-breaking platform.

Glen also serves as a trustee of Carnegie Mellon University and recently authored a wonderful new book 'The Patient Equation', that takes you through The Precision Medicine Revolution in the Age of COVID-19 and Beyond. As you can see, Glen is a perfect example of a successful entrepreneur and as an entrepreneur, you can get valuable insight from Glen into all aspects of a startup. He is a very energetic and engaging speaker, so get ready with your questions on startups, technology, healthcare, COVID, and anything under the sun.

What can we learn from Glen?

  • How to get started as a Startup from a highly successful Entrepreneur
  • What tools and techniques you should be using to build your business
  • What the future holds for healthcare technology
  • What trends are emerging as we move into a post-Covid world
  • And much more
