Why have we chosen Erik and Mevo as our final speaker for 2019?
Erik's passion for the environment has led him to create a business in an industry that has a significant impact on climate change, the transport industry. Transport accounts for 23% of emission (WHO) around the globe. In New Zealand, Road vehicle emissions were up 82.1 per cent from 1990 and made up 39.1% of all carbon dioxide emissions in 2016 (NZ Stats). As Taranaki works towards executing projects to meet New Zealand's Zero Emission Targets, attracting such businesses into the region is critical.
