Established in 1948, Zeno's Boardwalk Sweet Shop is now in its third generation of family ownership, management, and operations. Third-generation owner, John Zeno Louizes followed in the footsteps of his father, Zeno, and his great-uncle, Thomas Nougaras, and took over the Daytona Beach, Fla.-based company in 2003.

Since taking over in 2003, John has transformed the family business from a local icon in Daytona Beach to the world's largest manufacturer of taffy. He has recently scaled candy production by 1,000% with dedicated manufacturing facilities, as well as expanded global distribution and established new retail channels.
