In the 1980's Reza Afshari and his partner opened the first Dunkin' in central Florida with many more to follow. After a long partnership and many ups and downs, Reza Afshari separated from his partner and turned the Dunkin' franchise business into a family affair. Relocating and rebranding the flagship Dunkin' on Nova road, they began their journey as a family operating as Nova King Inc in 2009. From there, Reza, his wife Susan and daughter Dana ran a successful operation and added several additional locations. More growth was inevitable and with that another daughter, Sara, joined the team. Operating Dunkin's became the foundation of this family group but the addition of the construction and property management companies really brought it together. Twelve years and 8 locations later, of which 4 fall under their own land ownership and an additional location set to open in March of this year, Reza and Susan were set to retire. The daughters, Dana and Sara have taken over as both operators and developers of the Dunkin' brand with much more to come in the years ahead.
