Hepmil Media Group: you may not know the name of the company behind some of Singapore and the region's most recognizeable media and social brands -like SGAG- but chances are you see their content across your social channels almost every day. But how did they get their start and what propelled their meteoric rise and growth? Well, you may be surprised to learn it all sort of started by accident a few years ago when "two bored twenty-somethings" (their words, not ours) created a meme about the McDonald's curry sauce shortage in Singapore. And the rest as they say, is history. Over the years, Hepmil has expand regionally, into Malaysia with MGAG, in 2015, as well as the Philippines with PGAG, in 2017. Those early meme days have now evolved to encompass video, talent management, e-commerce, and even research. Beyond that, the dream to empower and support more content creators grew. So in 2020, Hepmil Creators’ Network was launched. Today, they have some of the most exciting TikTok talents across the region under their network. The company recently closed a $10 million Series A round in November 2021.
